I applied for the call for speakers at WordCamp Malaysia 2023 and was honoured to be selected. This marked my very first time delivering a presentation entirely in English.
The theme of my session was “Empowering Careers and Community: My WordCamp Hopper Journey”. In this talk, I defined the term “WordCamp Hopper” and discussed its benefits by relating them to Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. I was delighted to see the audience laughing and enjoying the session. I hope to see the number of “WordCamp Hoppers” grow in the future!
On the first day, during Contributor Day, I also served as a Table Lead for the Polyglots team for the first time. Although I was assigned the role just the day before and felt slightly underprepared, it turned out to be a very productive day thanks to the wonderful cooperation of all the participants.
